Governor Brown Issues Statement on Pension Reform Vote

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today issued the following statement regarding the California Legislature’s vote on pension reform:

“With strong bipartisan support, the State Legislature today passed the biggest rollback of public pensions in California history. This sweeping pension reform package will save tens of billions of taxpayer dollars and make the system more sustainable for the long term. I commend the Legislature for taking this action.”
