TORRANCE – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. will join Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi (D-Torrance) and local leaders in Torrance tomorrow for a news conference to mark the launch of construction on the Torrance Transit Park and Ride Regional Terminal. The Regional Transit Center will serve as a terminus point for the larger green line extension from Redondo Beach to Torrance, which was awarded a portion of LA Metro’s $1 billion Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program Grant from SB 1.
Earlier this month, the California Transportation Commission approved $2.7 billion more for transportation projects across California under SB 1 – the 10-year, $54 billion transportation infrastructure investment package signed last year.
