UPDATED: Governor Brown to Visit Rice Avenue Grade Separation Project in Oxnard Today

OXNARD – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. will join Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin (D-Thousand Oaks) and local leaders today in Oxnard for a news conference on new funding for the Rice Avenue Grade Separation Overpass project to upgrade one of the most dangerous intersections in the state.

Last week, the California Transportation Commission allocated $68.6 million for this project to improve safety, reduce congestion and ensure efficient freight movement. During the meeting, the Commission committed $2.7 billion for transportation projects across California under SB 1.
