SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today issued a proclamation declaring a special election for the 32nd Senate District of the State of California on August 7, 2018. The primary for this special election will be held on June 5, 2018.

SPECIAL ELECTION PROCLAMATION BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
I, EDMUND G. BROWN JR., Governor of the State of California, do hereby proclaim and order that a special election shall be held on the 7th day of August, 2018, within the 32nd Senate District of the State, to fill the vacancy of the office of State Senator from that district resulting from the resignation of Senator Tony Mendoza.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of California to be affixed this 7th day of March 2018.
