SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the following appointments:
Josh Boone, 37, of Woodland, has been appointed zero emission vehicle policy advisor to the chair of the California Air Resources Board, where he has served as an air pollution specialist since 2008. Boone has been executive director at Veloz since 2017. He held several positions at the California Plug-in Electric Vehicle Collaborative from 2010 to 2017, including deputy executive director, senior manager of business development and programs, communications and operations manager. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $138,000. Boone is registered without party preference.
Todd Trotter, 53, of Sacramento, has been reappointed to the California Veterans Board, where he has served since 2015. Trotter has been national executive director for employee relations at Kaiser Permanente since 2016, where he has held several positions since 2002, including national senior director, human resources leader, Northern California director of labor relations and human resource business partner. He served as a letter carrier and labor relations representative at the U.S. Postal Service from 1992 to 2002 and served in the U.S. Army from 1983 to 1991. Trotter earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. This position requires Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Trotter is a Democrat.
