SACRAMENTO – Executive Secretary to Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr., Nancy McFadden, today issued the following statement:
“Sixteen years ago, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and remained cancer-free until four years ago. Over the past four years, I have been able to manage both the cancer and the demands of my job – and our track record speaks for itself. I now have to devote more attention to managing my health care and recuperating from recent surgery.
“I intend to remain fully engaged with my job, though I’ll spend less time in the Capitol. This is possible with today’s technology and the incredible, experienced team we have in the Governor’s Office. I am grateful to the Governor, Anne and Team Brown for their support and look forward to building on what we’ve already accomplished in the year ahead.”
