SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today released a proclamation declaring a special election for the 39th Assembly District of the State of California on June 5, 2018. The primary for this special election will be held on April 3, 2018.

SPECIAL ELECTION PROCLAMATION BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
I, EDMUND G. BROWN JR., Governor of the State of California, do hereby proclaim and order that a special election shall be held on the 5th day of June, 2018, within the 39th Assembly District of the State, to fill the vacancy of the office of State Assembly Member from that district resulting from the resignation of Assembly Member Raul Bocanegra.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of California to be affixed this 8th day of December 2017.
