SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the following appointments:
Cheryl C. Turner, 55, of Los Angeles, has been appointed to the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians. Turner has been principal attorney at the Law Offices of Cheryl C. Turner since 1989. She was vice president at the Los Angeles Convention and Exhibition Center Authority in 2015. Turner earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Turner is a Democrat.
Lucas Espericueta, 29, of Bakersfield, has been reappointed to the 15th District Agricultural Association, Kern County Fair Board of Directors, where he has served since 2016. He has been a vice president at Farm Credit West since 2011. Espericueta is a member of the Kern County Farm Bureau Board of Directors, Kern County Basque Club and the Buttonwillow Lions Club. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Espericueta is a Republican.
