Governor Brown Issues Proclamation Declaring Special Election for 34th Congressional District

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today issued a proclamation declaring a special election for the 34th Congressional District of the State of California on June 6, 2017. The primary for this special election will be held on April 4, 2017.

SPECIAL ELECTION PROCLAMATION
BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

I, EDMUND G. BROWN JR., Governor of the State of California, do hereby proclaim and order that a special election shall be held on the 6th day of June, 2017, within the 34th Congressional District of the State to fill the vacancy of the office of the Member of Congress from said district resulting from the resignation of Xavier Becerra.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of California to be affixed this 25th day of January, 2017.
