SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced that he has acted on the following bills to strengthen criminal justice in California:
• AB 69 by Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D-Pomona) – Peace officers: body-worn cameras.
• AB 71 by Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D-Pomona) – Criminal justice: reporting.
• AB 256 by Assemblymember Reginald Byron Jones-Sawyer Sr. (D-Los Angeles) – Falsifying evidence.
• AB 303 by Assemblymember Lorena Gonzalez (D-San Diego) – Searches: county jails.
• AB 538 by Assemblymember Nora Campos (D-San Jose) – Actions for damages: felony offenses: victim notification.
• AB 953 by Assemblymember Shirley N. Weber (D-San Diego) – Law enforcement: racial profiling.
• AB 1328 by Assemblymember Shirley N. Weber (D-San Diego) – Criminal procedure: withholding of evidence.
• SB 11 by Senator Jim Beall (D-San Jose) – Peace officer training: mental health.
