SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the following appointments.
Edgar L. Gill Jr, 50, of Elk Grove, has been appointed senior deputy commissioner of the Division of Corporations at the California Department of Business Oversight. Gill has been a senior vice president team lead at U.S. Bank, National Association since 2011. He was a senior vice president and senior client manager at Bank of America, National Association from 2003 to 2011, a vice president relationship manager at Union Bank of California, National Association from 2000 to 2003 and a vice president relationship manager at Citigroup, National Association from 1995 to 1999. Gill was a mortgage loan officer at Sacramento Savings and Loan from 1992 to 1995 and a business banking officer at Wells Fargo Bank, National Association from 1989 to 1992. This position requires Senate confirmation and the compensation is $138,000. Gill is a Democrat.
Scott Cameron, 55, of Folsom, has been appointed senior deputy commissioner of the Division of Financial Institutions at the California Department of Business Oversight, where he has been chief state bank examiner and a deputy commissioner since 2010 and has served in several positions since 1984, including financial institutions manager, financial institutions supervisor, senior financial institutions examiner and bank examiner. This position requires Senate confirmation and the compensation is $138,000. Cameron is registered without party preference.
Benito Delgado-Olson, 31, of Oakland, has been appointed to the Low Income Oversight Board at the California Public Utilities Commission. Delgado-Olson has been executive director at K to College since 2009. He is a member of the University of California, Berkeley Cal Alumni Association and Californians Dedicated to Education Foundation. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $400 per diem. Delgado-Olson is a Democrat.
