Governor Brown Announces Appointments

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the following appointments.

Susan Johnson, 67, of Rescue, has been appointed to the California Private Security Disciplinary Review Committee, North. Johnson was principal and owner of Tallent Johnson Consulting from 2001 to 2011 and an independent residential sales agent at Leu Enterprises and at Keller Williams Realty from 2005 to 2010. She was an independent residential mortgage loan agent at Residential Mortgage Lending from 2001 to 2005 and a vice president banking center manager at Bank of America from 1974 to 2000. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Johnson is a Republican.

Dan Presser, 71, of Monterey, has been appointed to the 7th District Agricultural Association, Monterey County Fair Board of Directors. Presser has been owner at Four Winds Travel since 1994. He was a travel agent at Ashely Travel from 1992 to 1993 and a public relations director at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in 1991. He is a member of the Association of Retail Travel Agents, the American Legion, Post 41 Board, Monterey County Military and Veterans Affairs Advisory Commission and the Carmel Chamber of Commerce. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Presser is a Democrat.

Marshall Miller, 36, of Santa Barbara, has been reappointed to the 19th District Agricultural Association, Santa Barbara County Fair and Exposition Board of Directors, where he has served since 2012. Miller has been vice president of finance and operations at the ThornHill Companies since 2010. He was an assistant vice president at CTC Consulting from 2002 to 2005 and assistant controller at Nicholas Bagshaw Company from 2000 to 2002. He is a member of the American Vineyard Foundation. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Miller is a Republican.
