Governor Brown Issues Proclamation Declaring Special Election for 35th Senate District

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today issued a proclamation declaring a special election for the 35th Senate District of the State of California on February 10, 2015. The primary for this special election will be held on December 9, 2014.

The text of the proclamation is below:

SPECIAL ELECTION PROCLAMATION BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

I, EDMUND G. BROWN JR., Governor of the State of California, do hereby proclaim and order that a special election shall be held on the 10th day of February, 2015, within the 35th Senate District of the State, to fill the vacancy of the office of State Senator from that district resulting from the resignation of Senator Roderick D. Wright.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of California to be affixed this 26th day of September 2014.
