Governor Brown Appoints Susan L. Greenberg to San Mateo County Superior Court

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the appointment of Susan L. Greenberg to an interim judgeship in the San Mateo County Superior Court.

Greenberg, 54, of San Carlos, has served as a commissioner at the San Mateo County Superior Court since 2000. She was an attorney at the Law Offices of Susan L. Greenberg from 1991 to 2000 and an associate attorney at the Law Offices of Philip H. Shecter from 1987 to 1991. Greenberg served as a deputy district attorney at the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office from 1984 to 1987. She earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Claremont McKenna College. Greenberg was elected in June 2014 to fill the vacancy created by the elevation of Judge Beth L. Freeman to the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California. The Governor’s appointment allows her to immediately assume the position she was otherwise elected to begin in January 2015. Greenberg is a Republican.

The compensation for this position is $184,610.
