Governor Brown Announces Appointments

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the following appointments.

Joseph Bacchetti, 47, of Tracy, has been appointed to the 2nd District Agricultural Association, San Joaquin County Fair Board of Directors. Bacchetti has been an owner at the Bacchetti Hay Service since 1987. Bacchetti is president of Reclamation District 773 Fabian Tract, chairman at the San Joaquin Farm Bureau Federation Board of Directors, vice president of the Young Men’s Institute in Tracy, vice president of the Italian Catholic Federation in Tracy and a swine leader at Banta 4-H. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Bacchetti is a Republican.

Elizabeth Nicole Linnerman, 42, of Stockton, has been appointed to the 2nd District Agricultural Association, San Joaquin County Fair Board of Directors. Linnerman has been an insurance examiner at the California Employment Development Department, State Disability Insurance Office in Stockton since 2003. She was an executive administrative assistant at River View Financial Insurance from 2001 to 2003, a shipping supervisor at Weber Distribution in 1998 and receptionist at J and R Distribution in 1997. Linnerman is a member of the Stanislaus Workforce Investment Board of Directors, the San Joaquin County Democratic Central Committee, North Valley Labor Federation, Stanislaus-Tuolumne Counties Central Labor Council and the Coalition of Labor Union Women. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Linnerman is a Democrat.

Ryan Cheung, 32, of Chico, has been appointed to the 3rd District Agricultural Association, Silver Dollar Fair Board of Directors. Cheung has been a certified public accountant and certified fraud examiner manager at Matson and Isom since 2007. He was a baker at Winchell’s Donut House from 1997 to 2006, bookkeeper at Wright Mortgage Company in 2006 and a web developer and computer technician at Nord Avenue Mini Storage in 2005. Cheung is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Butte County Farm Bureau and the Chico Chamber of Commerce. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Cheung is registered without party preference.

Robinette Cook, 40, of Gridley, has been appointed to the 3rd District Agricultural Association, Silver Dollar Fair Board of Directors, where she has served since 2005. Cook has been president of Cook Communications and Public Affairs since 2002. She was a staff assistant at the Office of Congressman Wally Herger from 1997 to 2002, a commissioner at the California Student Aid Commission from 1995 to 1997 and a student trustee for the Butte-Glenn Community College District Board of Trustees from 1994 to 1996. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Cook is a Republican.

Stacey Giezentanner, 42, of Chico, has been appointed to the 3rd District Agricultural Association, Silver Dollar Fair Board of Directors, where she has served since 2005. Giezentanner has been founder and managing member of Ampersand Opportunity Fund LLC since 2014. She was president of Stacey Giezentanner Real Estate Development from 2004 to 2006, a sales representative at Merck and Co. from 2000 to 2004 and a buyer at Any Mountain Sports from 1996 to 2000. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Giezentanner is a Republican.

Les Heringer, 64, of Chico, has been reappointed to the 3rd District Agricultural Association, Silver Dollar Fair Board of Directors, where he has served since 2006. Heringer has been a manager at M and T Chico Ranch since 1986. He is a member of the Butte County Farm Bureau, the Sacramento Valley Landowners Association and the Rotary Club of Chico. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Heringer is a Republican.

Hugh Santos, 68, of Chico, has been appointed to the 3rd District Agricultural Association, Silver Dollar Fair Board of Directors, where he has served since 2006. Santos was an owner at Starshine Enterprises from 1987 to 2002 and instructor of audio recordings at Butte College from 1987 to 2002. He is a member of the California Agricultural Leadership Associates. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Santos is a Republican.
