Governor and First Lady Honor Pfc. Daniela Rojas

SACRAMENTO – On behalf of all Californians, Governor Brown and First Lady Anne Gust Brown honor Pfc. Daniela Rojas, who bravely gave her life in service to our state and nation. The Governor and First Lady extend their deepest condolences to her family and friends at this difficult time.

In memorial, Governor Brown ordered that flags be flown at half-staff over the State Capitol. Pfc. Daniela Rojas’ family will receive a letter of condolence from the Governor.

Pfc. Daniela Rojas, 19, of Los Angeles, CA, died May 3, in Homburg, Germany, from a non-combat related illness. She was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, CO. Pfc. Rojas was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
