Governor Brown Announces Appointments

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the following appointments.

Timothy Bouseman, 36, of Redding, has been appointed administrator of the Veterans Home of California, Redding. Bouseman has been executive director at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation – Canyonwood since 2012 and an online adjunct instructor for the University of Phoenix since 2008. He was nursing home administrator at the American Health Foundation, Willow Gardens Care Center from 2010 to 2012 and nursing home administrator for Care Initiatives from 2007 to 2010. Bouseman was a leadership instructor for the U.S. Air Force from 2003 to 2007 and served in active duty for the Air Force from 1996 to 2003. He earned a Master of Science degree in healthcare management from Touro University. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the c

ompensation is $117,444. Bouseman is a Republican.

Michael Eaton, 62, of Galt, has been appointed to the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Conservancy, where he has served since 2010. Eaton has been owner of Kingbird Farms since 2010. He was executive director at the Resources Legacy Fund from 2007 to 2010 and project director at the Nature Conversancy from 1995 to 2007. Eaton was an independent environmental policy consultant from 1983 to 1995 and assistant secretary for resources policy at the California Resources Agency from 1981 to 1983. This position requires Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Eaton is a Democrat.
