Governor Brown Issues Proclamation Declaring Special Election for 54th Assembly District

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today issued a proclamation declaring a special election for the 54th Assembly District of the State of California on February 4, 2014. The primary for this special election will be held on December 3, 2013.

SPECIAL ELECTION PROCLAMATION
BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

I, EDMUND G. BROWN JR., Governor of the State of California, do hereby proclaim and order that a special election shall be held on the 4th day of February, 2014, within the 54th Assembly District of the State, to fill the vacancy of the office of State Assembly Member from that district resulting from the resignation of Assembly Member Holly Mitchell.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of California to be affixed this 30th day of September 2013.
