Governor Brown Appoints Gail A. O’Rane to Riverside County Superior Court

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the appointment of Gail O’Rane to a judgeship in the Riverside County Superior Court.

O’Rane, 40, of Altadena, has served as a deputy capital defender at the Riverside County Capital Defender’s Office since 2010. She served as a deputy public defender at the Riverside County Public Defender’s Office from 2000 to 2010. She was an associate attorney at Willoughby and Associates from 1999 to 2000. O’Rane earned a Juris Doctor degree from the Pepperdine University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. She fills the vacancy created by the conversion of a court commissioner position on October 12, 2012. O’Rane is a Democrat.

The compensation for this position is $178,789.
