Governor Brown Appoints Michael J. Reinhart to Kings County Superior Court

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the appointment of Michael J. Reinhart to a judgeship in the Kings County Superior Court.

Reinhart, 54, of Hanford, has been the owner and attorney at the Law Office of Michael J. Reinhart since 2011. He worked at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office as chief deputy district attorney from 2006 to 2011 and deputy district attorney and chief trial attorney from 1992 to 2006. Reinhart was senior associate attorney at Haight Brown and Bonesteel LLP from 1987 to 1992 and associate attorney at the Law Office of Nicholas Demma from 1983 to 1987. Reinhart earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Irvine. He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Lynn C. Atkinson. Reinhart is a Republican.

The compensation for this position is $178,789.
