Governor Brown Appoints Robert B. Westbrook to Stanislaus County Superior Court

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the appointment of Robert B. Westbrook to a judgeship in the Stanislaus Superior Court.

Westbrook, 43, of Hughson, has served as a deputy public defender at the Stanislaus County Public Defender’s Office since 2004, where he also worked from 2000 to 2002. He served as a deputy public defender at the San Joaquin County Public Defender’s Office from 2002 to 2004. Westbrook earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California, Davis School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University. He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge John G. Whiteside. Westbrook is a Democrat.

The compensation for this position is $178,789.
