Governor and First Lady Honor Chief Warrant Officer Suresh N. A. Krause

SACRAMENTO – On behalf of all Californians, Governor Brown and First Lady Anne Gust Brown honor Chief Warrant Officer Suresh N. A. Krause, who bravely gave his life in service to our state and nation. The Governor and First Lady extend their deepest condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time.

In memorial, Governor Brown ordered that flags be flown at half-staff over the State Capitol today. Chief Warrant Officer Krause’s family will receive a letter of condolence from the Governor.

Chief Warrant Officer Suresh N. A. Krause, 29, of Cathedral City, CA, died August 16, in a helicopter crash northeast of Kandahar, Afghanistan. Krause was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 25th Aviation Regiment, 25th Combat Aviation Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, HI. He was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
