PASADENA – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. will give remarks at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory praising the science and innovation behind the Curiosity rover, which landed on Mars on August 5. Before giving remarks, the Governor will tour the operations center, meet the Mars Science Laboratory operating team and view a full-scale model of the rover.

**Note: Governor Brown’s visit to the operations center and his remarks to NASA scientists will be open to credentialed media. His visit to the full-scale Curiosity model will be pooled.
