Governor Brown Appoints Stephen S. Siegel to Santa Cruz County Superior Court

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the appointment of Stephen S. Siegel to a judgeship in the Santa Cruz County Superior Court.

Siegel, 63, of Santa Cruz, has served as a court commissioner for the Santa Cruz County Superior Court since 2001. He worked at the Law Offices of Biggam Christensen and Minsloff from 1985 to 2000 as a contract deputy public defender for Santa Cruz County. He was a sole practitioner from 1980 to 1985. Siegel earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Golden Gate University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio State University. He fills the vacancy created by the conversion of a court commissioner position. Siegel is registered decline-to-state.

The compensation for this position is $178,789.
