Governor Brown Appoints Laurel D. White to Sacramento County Superior Court

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the appointment of Laurel D. White to a judgeship in the Sacramento County Superior Court.

White, 60, of Sacramento, has served in multiple positions at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California, including Executive Assistant U.S. Attorney since 2010 and Assistant U.S. Attorney from 1989 to 2010. White earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kansas. She fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge James Long. White is a Democrat.

The compensation for this position is $178,789.
