Governor Brown Issues Legislative Update

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. announced today that he has signed the following bills:

• AB 143 by Assemblymember Felipe Fuentes (D-Los Angeles) – Pupil records: privacy rights.
• AB 207 by Assemblymember Tom Ammiano (D-San Francisco) – School attendance: residency requirements.
• AB 624 by Assemblymember John A. Pérez (D-Los Angeles) – California Organized Investment Network.
• AB 648 by Assemblymember Marty Block (D-San Diego) – Clemency.
• AB 680 by Assemblymember Marty Block (D-San Diego) – Pupil safety: comprehensive school safety plans.
• AB 751 by Assemblymember Gil Cedillo (D-Los Angeles) – Freeway construction.
• AB 1028 by Committee on Public Employees, Retirement and Social Security – State employees’ retirement.
• AB 1151 by Assemblymember Mike Feuer (D-Los Angeles) – Public retirement systems: investments: Iran.
• AB 1211 by Assemblymember Jim Silva (R-Huntington Beach) – Not-for-profit corporations.
• AB 1386 by Assemblymember Steven Bradford (D-Inglewood) – Women, minority, and disabled veteran business enterprise procurement.

The Governor also announced that he has vetoed the following bills:
