Governor Brown Issues Legislative Update

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. announced today that he has signed the following bills:

• AB 208 by Assemblymember Felipe Fuentes (D-Los Angeles) – Land use: subdivision maps: expiration dates.

• AB 315 by Assemblymember Jose Solorio (D-Santa Ana) – Surplus line brokers.

• AB 707 by Assemblymember Martin Garrick (R-Carlsbad) – Horse racing: thoroughbred races.

• AB 798 by Assemblymember Wesley Chesbro (D-Eureka) – Joint powers agreement: public agencies.

• AB 1066 by Assembly Speaker John Pérez (D-Los Angeles) – Public health care: Medi-Cal: demonstration project waivers.

• AB 1085 by Assemblymember Mike Davis (D-Los Angeles) – School attendance: interdistrict attendance.

• AB 1265 by Assemblymember Jim Nielsen (R-Biggs) – Local government: Williamson Act.

• SB 458 by Senator Ellen Corbett (D-San Leandro) – Mortgages: deficiency judgments.

• SB 918 by Senator Joel Anderson (R-San Diego) – Mutual water companies: boards of directors.

The Governor also announced that he has vetoed the following bill:

• SB 759 by Senator Ted Lieu (D-Torrance) – Common interest developments: artificial turf. A veto message can be found here.
