SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. announced today that he has signed the following bills:
• AB 12 by Assemblymember Sandre Swanson (D-Oakland) – Abolition of Child Commerce, Exploitation, and Sexual Slavery Act of 2011.
• AB 588 by Assemblymember Manuel Pérez (D-Cathedral City) – Tenancy: victims of domestic violence.
• AB 886 by Assemblymember Paul Cook (R-Yucaipa) – Victim’s rights: victim impact statement.
• AB 1067 by Assemblymember Alyson Huber (D-El Dorado Hills) – Civil procedure: orders.
• SB 180 by Senator Ellen Corbett (D-San Leandro) – Consumer transactions: public social services: unreasonable fees.
• SB 445 by Senator Joe Simitian (D-Palo Alto) – California Public Records Act: library records.
The Governor also announced that he has vetoed the following bills:
• AB 1281 by Assemblymember Martin Garrick (R-Carlsbad) – Parole hearings: audioconferencing. A veto message can be found here.
