Governor and First Lady Honor Tech. Sgt. Kristoffer M. Solesbee

SACRAMENTO – On behalf of all Californians, Governor Brown and First Lady Anne Gust Brown honor Tech. Sgt. Kristoffer M. Solesbee, who bravely gave his life in service to our state and nation. The Governor and First Lady extend their deepest condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time.

In memorial, Governor Brown ordered that flags be flown at half-staff over the State Capitol today. Tech. Sgt. Solesbee’s family will receive a letter of condolence from the Governor.

Tech. Sgt. Kristoffer M. Solesbee, 32, of Citrus Heights, CA, died May 26 in the Shorabak district of Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 775th Civil Engineer Squadron, Hill Air Force Base, UT. Solesbee was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
