Governor and First Lady Honor Spc. Jameson L. Lindskog

SACRAMENTO – On behalf of all Californians, Governor Brown and First Lady Anne Gust Brown honor Spc. Jameson L. Lindskog, who bravely gave his life in service to our state and nation. The Governor and First Lady extend their deepest condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time.

In memorial, Governor Brown ordered that flags be flown at half-staff over the State Capitol today. Spc. Lindskog’s family will receive a letter of condolence from the Governor.

Spc. Jameson L. Lindskog, 23, of Pleasanton, CA died March 29 of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire in Konar province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, KY. Spc. Lindskog was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
